The Columbia Sportwear Coremic Ridge Boot is aimed at the budget lightweight hiking boot market and so comes at an impressively low price as well as in a variety of colors. Its designed for versatility, with lightweight cushioning, stability and breathability giving a lot of support and very good grip. The uppers are suede with synethetic overlays, the breathability comes mostly from the mesh panels. Most of the traction comes from an omni-grip rubber sole and associated tread pattern, which a good across all sorts of terrain. There’s also a removable EVA insole for an extra bit of shock adsorption.
You should get plenty of trail time with these boots so at the price they’re offered they can be a real bargain if you are on a budget. Its worth pointing out though that he heel cups on the boots are quite wide and some reviewers have found this uncomfortable on longer treks if you have narrow feet.
